TX Patient Cost Sharing Bill – Data Needed for Texas

As we are putting together a letter and info for committee members in TX on the patient cost sharing bill, we are requesting data to help support our need for the bill. If you do business in TX, please feel free to share data in this thread or email it directly to me at kdaley@hhs.com.
Here are the talking points that Bing shared that we would like to couple with data to strengthen our points.
Patients are frequently exposed to unaffordable patient cost share
Patients are avoiding necessary health care due to high-cost sharing
Patient debt interferes with the doctor patient relationship
Health care providers are shouldering the cost of bed debt harming patient access to care
Health plans can consolidate debt and provide affordable payment plans
Having health plans collect the patient cost share simplifies the billing process. Patient won’t receive bills from multiple providers
Health plans are incentivized to make patient cost share affordable if they are required to collect the patient cost share
