Regional Leads Meeting #2 – Recording and Follow-up

Thank you to everyone who could attend yesterday’s meeting. Below is a quick recap and a link to the recording. Please respond in this thread if you have any questions, additions, or concerns.
1. We started the meeting by confirming the monthly call outline. That information can be found in the agenda.
2. The draft op-ed needs some work to make it more personal and patient centered. Dr. Sugarman also suggested that we focus on the PLP aspect of the issue. He also suggested we use past letters we have already put together to help us craft the op-ed. A new version will be drafted, but members should provide edits by accessing the link to the op-ed in the agenda. If you have trouble accessing it, please let me know.
3. The group reviewed legislative and regulatory items. The most pressing issue was addressing the increased medical liability costs in New York. EDPMA will be drafting a letter in opposition to submit to the Governor, asking for her veto (already vetoed twice before). Jennifer Brown is working to get more support locally and will follow-up with the group.
4. The group decided that monthly meetings will be based on monthly availability by doodle polls moving forward. There will be a new doodle that will go out next week.
