  CMS Releases FY 2025 IPPS Final Rule

  Just a short bit ago, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the fiscal year (FY) 2025 Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) final rule. The IPPS payment update results in a 2.9% increase in payments for hospital inpatient services over FY 2025 (for hospitals that meet their quality and EHR reporting requirements). In addition to the IPPS payment policies, CMS also finalized provisions related to the hospital quality reporting and performance programs. The rule also includes CMS’ finalized policies for the mandatory Transforming Episode Accountability Model (TEAM).
